VIO-Flux Aluminium Brazing Paste Flux

Chemtools® Aluminium Brazing Paste Flux is a high activity paste flux specially formulated for soldering aluminium and aluminium alloys to itself or to other metals.

The flux can be used to perform soldering on aluminium-to-aluminium, copper, brass, zinc, nickel and tin-plated surfaces etc. It may also be used to solder aluminium to stainless steel and nickel.

Although tin/lead solders can be used to solder aluminium, the great difference in the electropotentials value of aluminium substrate and tin/lead solder present a galvanic couple that can lead to accelerated corrosion. The preferred solder is a zinc/aluminium alloy solder (98Zn/2AI, 95Zn/5AI).
